slack in steering

I have a 1985 F 250 2 wheel drive. It has alot of slack in the steering. How do i tighten it up? thanks

If the front suspension components aren't worn out, theres an adjuster bolt on top of the steering box. Loosen the outer nut, then turn the center bolt while a helper turns the wheel back and forth. Be careful, you can get it too tight.
