Hi Chris - I subscribe to True Blue Trucks magazine which comes from Knoxville Tennesse .... in the current issue (available at Barnes and Noble) there is a very good article about this very thing - Kevin Hill has written about rekitting and fitting a Quadrajet to his 300 six - he say's that it will give better performance and economy than the Edelbrock 500 he has currently fitted - here is a link to kevins site http://www.truckmeblue.com/Home_Page.php

As far as manifold choice goes it all depends on what performance level you are trying to achieve .... her's a list of manifolds and there applications.

We have a lot of clevo bits out here - here is a link to our local auction site for you to have a look.

I hope this helps Chris - if you do keep your F250 i reckon throwing a ZF5 into it would make an excellent tow wagon out of it and probably help with the fuel economy too.

Typically the dual plane intakes with the smaller runners will be best for low end torque and hp...as in under 5500-6000 rpm. The spreadbore carb's with the smaller primaries will keep the air/fuel velocity up at low flow giving you ideal fuel economy and ample performance. Stay with a vaccuum secondary and you do not need double acceleration pumps.
