Is there a secret to breaking loose the 5r110w transmission oil filter canister?

Aggravating, isn't it? I usually hit it with an impact. For some reason it comes loose very easily. I agree, trying to do it with just a socket and ratchet bites. You might try to find someone with a cordless impact.

I have air and impacts and I thought about putting it on there and giving it a couple of burps of rat-e-tat to see if it'd break loose, but then thought I'd ask first.
