Replacing a thermostat

I ran a water hose thru the heater core lines on both hoses and the water passed thru, so no clogged heater core. My lower radiator hose is still cold after the engine has warmed up so i suppose i need a new thermostat. That is unless my radiator is seriously clogged up.
My question is am i right so far and how difficult is a thermostat job on my 03 6.0 PS?......Tom

Its no more difficult than anything else. Whatever is in your way, remove it. You might have the ebp sensor attached to the housing, so just carefully remove the line and the sensor, then remove the bracket.
