Thursday:
So got my 6" suspension lift from 4 wheel parts, take it to the shop and first thing i notice is that Skyslacker forgot to give me all the bolts:headbang: So i call up my long time guy at 4 wheel and he looks around and says "nope, no more boxes"

So i call Skyslacker and spend an hour working my way through jackass religious hippies trying to convert me (did you know its a @#R$&*$ FAITH BASED COMPANY?) and not helping one bit on the phone, FINALLY get put through to Marty in missing parts who was very professional and helpful (he DID say he was new so that's probably why, the bible thumpers haven't gotten him yet) He says the bag will be here Monday earliest.

Now i need this lift done for a school project Wednesday...so i go out and get all grade 8 hardware to continue the install myself.

Get the rear done (new springs, no blocks for me :) ) move to the front and get it all torn down and begin mounting the new radius arm brackets then i notice that 1 of two TTB hinge brackets is missing... 'smiliedoh'

Friday:
Spend all morning/afternoon on the phone between Marty at Skyslacker and Rob at 4 wheel parts and trying to figure out who is at fault (at that point i didn't give a rats ass i just wanted that bracket!) Turns out it was UPS who busted open the box and lost the bracket and bolts and repackaged it so well that me and 4 wheel parts didn't notice. So at this point im pissed because my install is halted and my truck is dissembled in the shop and we have to run a business around it, my man Rob at 4 wheel parts is pissed because he is afraid he is gunna lose a long time customer, and Marty is pissed because UPS tried to play it off...In the end UPS wisely decided to foot the bill to have the bracket next day aired to me.

Should be here on Monday (tomorrow)

In the end, 4 Wheel Parts is still in my good graces, they did everything possible to make it right but it was out of their hands.

Skyjacker has lost my respect (except for Marty) because of their terrible customer service. No matter how good of a product they may have, I will think twice before recommending them to anyone

UPS, well UPS brings the suck, had they included a damaged or lost items form with the box in the first place this whole thing could have been avoided as Skyjacker could have shipped the part Thursday and had it here Friday, instead 4 Wheel, UPS and Skyjacker spent all Friday playing the blame game debating who was gunna pay for the next day shipping

Im all about Fed Ex from now on haha

Sorry that was so long, but this has been a very maddening experience for me...lets hope that bracket is on my doorstep at 10:30 tomorrow morning like promised or im gunna lose it on someone! :guns: lol

Damn man that really sucks... When I shipped several parts out to people I used FedEx exclusively because they were SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than UPS. And shipping and tracking were completely pain free.

I don't have any particularly bad experiences with UPS but I also don't have any with FedEx. With the better prices, it's obvious which one I'd go with ;)

hey, i work for UPS as an sort/train driver. I was an unloader for the first year i was there. I can't speak for all hubs but we do do our best not to bust open any boxes at my hub, I use to get the third degree from the upper management and people in overgoods any time something got torn up or busted open. But with that said, there was a lot of packages that would get busted open, we move anywhere between 50k to 100k packages during every 4 hr shift. But in reality all shipping companies are the same, they all pretty much handle the packages the same way it just that you were the one that got screwed that time.

But yea man, that sucks about your stuff, I had something like that happen with a computer I had shipped to me one time. Just keep callin and raising hell until you get what you want.

Well now I know who not to order a lift from. :D

That's a pretty crappy deal. I hope it's all worth it in the end.

BTW it doesn't matter if you use Fedex, UPS, or USPS. They all suck, it's just a matter of degree.

I have actually had more trouble with the regular post office then any other shipping company.

I always love to get the envelope wrapped in 10 rolls of tape, stuff hanging out with the little "oops your mail got damaged" note stuck to it.
