Hey guys i just joined and i have a 1976 ford ranger f250 and the windshield is cracked beond repair and i need to know when the body or windshield style changed i cant find any info so i figued somebody knows thanks for the help

Yep, but parts are a-plenty, so you should be able to find what you're looking for!

1967/79 use the same windshield, the exceptions are the weatherstrips. The weatherstrips used 1967/72 are different than 1973/79.

Clear was standard equipment, timted was optional. Today, one can buy a Sun Band w/shield, but there is a caveat.

Sun Bands have extra tint across the top. If yoiu are tall and drive at night, you prolly do not want a Sun Band, as seein' thru that thing can be difficult.

Try to go through a reputable glass company who deals also in classic vehicles. I was lucky enough to have a guy who installed 1000s of windshields on classics and he worked for SafeLite Glass. I had already ordered the windshield from SafeLite and when he tried to install it, it wouldn't fit right. Could have been my cab, but not sure. He said he has seen that many times where the newer aftermarket windshields don't fit right. He actually had to take the windshield back to the shop to shave it off just a bit to get it to fit right in one corner. It could have been my cab, my weather stripping, etc, but just an FYI, take that for what's it's worth.
