I have 1988 ford f250 with dual tanks Its a used vehicle I purchased that set awhile, First problem was it would just quit at any time it wanted,I replaced both in tank pumps and had same problem.I replaced the fuel reservoir and then replaced inline fuel pump and fuel pump relay. then checked for powers and grounds no power to inline pump sent computer to have rebuilt thru napa they found nothing wrong. It came back and said evertthing checked good . I installed computer and had power to pump . Now it wont shut off so I ran just 12 volts to pump from ignition it now goes on and off . the fuel pump did not seem to get vacuum on the back side of pump I pulled out and ran it with 12 volts and it pulled water thru it . When i took line of vacuum side no fuel but seemed to have vacuun from line.I took down reservoir and blow air thru it seemed ok. Hooked up and I got 35 lbs fuel pressure it ran good for 2 minutes lost pressure. oreded under warranty a nother reservoir from ford.
