new problem

ok im hoping yall have some input, my problem is the bank 1/ bank 2 lean codes are back. didnt have a problem till it turned off cold. took it in to my local shop and they say that the lower intake gaskets are goin bad. they took a hose and ran water over the intake and when they moved to the driver side the motor bogged down and the exhaust pipe looked like an ol steam pipe. at idle it feels like there is a miss and i was told if its leaned way out it could be a lean missfire. theres no coolant loss. any info would really be appreaciated.

It sure sounds like a vacuum leak.
The lowers can leak causing this with no fluid loss..

Yep, vacuum leak. Common occurrence.

thanks for the info, i guess i need to go in that direction then, cuz all the vaccum hoses check out, and prolly need to get them changed sooner rather than later since they could lead to bigger problems. but even with the leak i went on a 200 mile road trip yesterday and averaged 20-22 mpg
