My '89 f-150 is running really rough right now. A few weeks ago it broke down, at first i thought it had just over heated because there was a little smoke coming from the engine area. But after further inspection i noticed it was not only dry on coolant, but it was bone dry on engine oil. I put on a new filter and topped it off with oil and water in the radiator. Upon starting it up all the water pissed strait out of the water pump, so I replaced that. Now it idles at about 1700rpm's when i start it and kinda sputters a little bit. I have no idea what is wrong and I am hoping that I didn't blow the head gasket.
It is a 1989 F-150 XLT Lariat with a 5.0l 302 ci with manual transmission.
