My Bronco won't shift out of park

I replaced my ignition switch and key switch on my 1987 Bronco and now my gearshift lever wont move out of park. What did I do and does anybody have any idea how to undo it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This truck is my wife's daily driver and every day it isn't working makes for a very LONG day for me. The life you save could be my own. Thanks guys

How far down did you have the column dismantled?

On the driver side upper part of the column near where the linkages for the column shifter are, there is a little round thing with some wires coming out the back, make sures its plugged in...

Also, make sure your steering wheel isn't "locked" - sometimes these old trucks get to where you need to jimmy the wheel a little and the gear selector will engage.
