sorry, i didnt have camera with me, so blackberry pics will have to do! This thing was amazing. looks just like it did in 198....whatever year it is. the dealer coulndt tell me anything about ti other than the guy wants SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS for the thing. it is MINT condition. im talking about interior and everything.

DOWN FALL: the thing has a freakin 350 Chevy in it. i drooped if you know what i mean. all was fine until he said "C-H-E-V-Y" , i hate chevy and especially in a ranger. he could at least give it some dignity and put a 351W or 351C in it!

Holy smokes... I've always hated that body style but dammit that truck makes it look goooood. Yeah that's a shame about the chebby engine but I'll be that thing friggin' hauls. Nice find.

The license plate woulda given the engine away to me as soon as I stepped out to look at it.I've never been a fan of the 83-92 Rangers,but that one doesn't look too bad.

If the 350 is the most powerful engine you could stick in there, I'm game. Personaly, I'd of put in a 5.0.

External physical dimensions & weight are the limiting factors of an engine swap. As far as power that is going to depend on how the engine is built-up, you can build some serious Hp & Torque even in a 4-cylinder. The old 1.5L turbocharged f1 engines used to put out over 1100 bhp.

350 cu in = 5.7L

5.0L = 305 cu in

I'm pretty sure you could squeeze more horses out of a 350. Though I might be wrong.

You are correct, more displacement always equal more power everything else being equal.
