Arrogant A-hole At-Large
Well boys and girls...the Lincoln has been trouble free for 9,000 miles now, and I'm feeling good about her, even bought her a new pair of shoes recently. I've put 31,000 miles on her in 11 months...and I'm looking for suggestions (or words against) on some fun upgrades. I was thinking the standard stuff, exhaust/CAI/tuner. Steeda has a CAI/tuner combo that is reviewed as the best on the market BUT...I'm not sold on the CAI, it appears to be the standard cone shaped filter, in the stock air filter area...thusly, just pulling hot ambient engine temps...and not drawing in any cooler air from anywhere. However, more air is always better, right??? Then for the tuner...is it worth getting a tuner just for the sake of having a tuner, even if there's no other real upgrades???
Real world numbers (from Lincoln forums) say this combo can take a 263hp stock rated car to a 301whp car.
Word on the net is...a good exhaust system is a very good investment as well (open up upward of 26whp). My question is, do I go for one of the pre-made systems...or do I piece one together...or hang my own???
And finally, being the computer controlled vehicle dunce that I am...what affects do these upgrades have up and down stream??? Or does the tuner correct that???
