Somebody has to have the answer to this... Am thinking it should mount to the starter solenoid on the left fender as you are looking under the hood

It would need to be a power source with power only with key on.

I know it didn't come from the battery because the round connection is too small... The wire is close to the starter solenoid and I think it must have come off of it.

The electric choke cover has wire connector(s). The wiring is part of the engine gauge feed loom, which is already in place...basic part number 14289

The engine gauge feed loom plugs into the dash loom, has connectors for the oil/amp sending units, starter relay amd etc.

Maybe Dennis can post a pic: Illustration Section 145, Page 5 of the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog = available from hipoparts.com for 22 bucks.

Unclear on the concept = A mechanical choke cable is just that...a cable and housing that extends from the dash to the carburetor.

There's nothing elecrical about it. AFAIK, 1968 was the last year Ford offered a manual choke cable.

I did put mechanical on my post, didn't I... Sorry about that, meant electrical. There is a wire coming out of the choke that I'm pretty sure was connected somewhere at some point. Noticed the other day it was not connected to anything.
