Marquis Traction Assist

New issue- just started. While climbing gentle inclines on dry pavement, the traction control kicks in and won't let go (brakes and decreased engine power). TC light flashes (normal when engaged), no other lights come on. Only solution seems to be to coast down to where it kicks off, then hit the traction control off button in the glovebox. Two part question:

1. What might be causing this?

2. Is there another way (other than push the glovebox button every time you start the car) to disable the TC?

TIA

Of course theres DTCs that can be retrieved. Until then, try unplugging then plugging it back up (ABS module). That might fix a slight corrosion issue. Tire inflation, different size tires can be a cause.

Follow-up. Driver's side rear tire was at 18 lbs, with not one but two nails stuck in it. Took it down to Les Schwabs and got that taken care of today. Drove home with the TC on without incident, so we'll see ow this works out.
