loss of power, fluttering

I'll call it 'fluttering.' I've changed the coil, the cap, the rotor, the wires look okay, the plugs, maybe look more white then normal, otherwise okay.
I always use high test. Some weeks ago I tried regular and felt a real difference, sluggish, not right. I've gone back to high test but there is still this fluttering when I accelerate.
What should I ckeck.

1) adjustment on accelerator pump.
2) Timing (you must time the engine per fuel type)
3) EGR Present or removed ?
4) condition of wires and connection to and from ignition module and distributor

Thanks for the replies.
I will need to get with my manuals to even find out what an accelerator pump is, but I will. For Timing I need to call a neighbor. EGR is also something for me to look up, but there was a squirrel hanging around my truck for awhile and there are curioius nibble marks on one of my spark plug wires, so I will spray down all these wires and connections, wipe them clean and follow them. The truck is my companion. We go everywhere together, nothing that is reasonable, maybe even possilbe for me to do is asking too much. Thank you, guys, for the help. I will report back.

A little known trick for checking spark plug wires.

During the dark of night with the headlights off, pop the hood with the engine running and watch for leaking wires causing a light show

For effect, place a piece of stiff cardboard to shield the air the fan produces and use a fine mister of water over the plug wires to reveal any electrical leakage.

Yes you take them off individually and measure them for resistance but where is the fun in that ?;)
