Just thought Id start a couple build threads....
Heres a 468" 9:1 Silvolite or Speed Pro cast pistons(this one is Silvolite), King Bearings, Comp hydraulic flat tappet cam, recurved duraspark, D3 with a mild port job on the exhaust side with Comp springs, retainers and locks to match cam specs, Weiand Stealth intake, Holley 750 vac sec.
Makes 400hp/500tq all day long, runs on 87oct pump gas, has excellent street manners, plenty of vacuum for power brakes and works well with a stock torque converter. A turnkey copy of this engine will run $4000 with a $350 core or exchange. (short block ONLY - block, crank, rods, pistons, King cam main and rod bearings, std volume Melling oil pump and a gasket kit - $1500 with a $250 core). Painted VHT color of choice. Currently we are 6-8 weeks out from start to finish once initial deposit has been paid. Upgrades available at cost.

Slap the crank in with careful attention paid to the bearings clearances. These were perfectly in spec with a .00294 average.
