Last year for the 300 6?

Buddy is shopping, 2 requirements, 300/6 and a four speed, and running of course

300 was used in pickups up to '96.

Not sure when they stopped putting 4-speeds behind 'em (still had manuals, but they were 5-speeds); thinking it was probably late '80s or so, but I've seen 4-speeds swapped into the newer (up to '96) trucks where 5-speeds were.

yup what ian said. 96 was the last year and i believe the last year for the 4 speed was about 88ish

I thought it was later then 96? hmm..

It would be cool if it would be an easy swap for the wife's '97..

Trying to find a good low mileage 4.6 replacement for it has been a challange.
