well, i just put a deposit down on a 1994 f150 ext cab w a 4.9<-- :(...im not a big 6 or 4 cyl person...but i guess its cuz i was raised on v8 power... ill have the money to pay him cash approx. tuesday when my insurance check comes in...i decided it was a helluva deal w a fresh engine rebuild and incredible interior and smooth exterior....but the abs light was on...and braking was no where nere as good as what the reg cab had...ill start to slow down abt 3/4 pedal down...the fluid was good...would the light trip for pads and shoes? i dont think so but i could hear it needed it...it has a hard tannau cover on it but ill turn it around n hop it for a couple hundred bucks...i think i made a good deal...any clues on the abs light? and i kno theres some 4.9 boys out there...any stats vs the good ol 5.0?

I redid the drums on the back of my 94 and it really brought the pressure back up in the pedal. If it's all working properly, the first 1/2 of your pedal depression is the drums in the back. Either that or maybe the auto-adjusters froze up and need to be broken back loose.

Air brake lines will cause a soft pedal, and if it gets into the ABS box, it will cause a light, too.
