Just a thought...

I was thinking that it would be nice to have all of the trim levels and thier options layed out in the gen 6 section.

Example:

Ranger
Includes: race trac mouldings, etc...

Ummm...Scott already did that for the Bronco...and I think I posted it here somewhere. That said, best case scenario, all you could list is what was standard. Back then, you could literally choose whatever option you wanted with whatever package/trim level. So, in theory...you could have more highly optioned and blinged out Custom level than a Lariat.

Edit...for the record, I did post it up in the 'Tips, Tricks and References' under 'Links to threads of importance'. But I used the 7879blueoval link...it seems to be dead now. But here's was Scott (Ranger429) listed on FSB:

"just a shiver" ;)

Trim and chrome and moldings and emblems and badges and radios... {shiver}. ;)

Glad they exist tho, so my plain-Jane stuff's different in it's own unique way. :)

Never caught that one...

Yea, the plan would be to list the standard features.

BTW...I think it would be entirely too labor intensive to try and list something so broad. Best thing to do is just look in old literature.

Yeah cool, I only got one "package" and that was the factory A/C package.

Funny part is, Ford didn't install the extra cooling radiator like they listed.
I did it later and that was the first time ever, the coolant volume was up
to the amount stated in the specifications. Yes, it worked good before. :)

ps- "no chrome or radio or two-tone paint, if it shows up with that stuff,
send it back to Ford and tell 'em... -get it right next time!- ;)"
pps- Dealers were not special-ordering vehicles, just talking the buyer into
one they had etc. My brother got duped into that with his '75 Jimmy after
waiting to make it seem like they'd special ordered it. :/ "well, it came with
extra stuff and they charged us for it, we'll split the difference with you on
the cost of that extra stuff" -salesman

^^^I think you had to know the right people Alvin. My father custom ordered several Broncos and 250's from 76-83. But his father was a Ford master mechanic at the same dealership for over 40 years. Some of the coolest was a 79 Bronco, green and silver, that the engine code was blank and there was a 460 stuffed in. I assume the 460 was put in at the dealership, but it had to stretch farther than that for a blank spot on the VIN. He also ordered an 80 Bronco, all black that had 3/4 ton suspension, he used for plowing. I dunno how or where that on got altered though.

Agreed.

I've thought about doing it for the 7th gens on another site, but there's just way too many things to compile together that cross over between the different trim levels.
