me and brad were talking on the phone and he mentioned it sounds more like an intake gasket than a head or head gasket. makes since cause there was coolant ontop of the waterpump. towards the back of the block. and on the head towards the front. its almost like while driving the coolant was leaking from the intake gasket and gravity was pulling it to the back of the engine. and then when i slowed down and stopped it would leak downward on to the water pump and travel down the side of the valve cover down onto the head. so it made since. so i went out and pulled the intake hoses off to get a better look and this is what i found...

looks like a crack but doesnt feel like it. it feels like just a ridge in the casting.

Borrow a cooling system pressure tester from someone, or go to a shop and have them do it. That will be by far the easiest way to locate a leak.

well i went ahead. and filled it up with coolant and started it up and ran it. the thermostat didnt even have to kick on. it started leaking right away. and the whole intake is practically flooded with coolant. got 2 vids of it. they are uploading right now.

looks good.. but i hate cork gaskets.... for valve cover they work fine but for other stuff that needs a good seal.. make sure u never use them !
