Interior door handle...

Just a refresher, is the interior door handle metal or plastic? If metal - I assume I can switch them onto my F-SD, right?

Austin, my 85 has metal door handles.

80-86 Metal
87-96 plastic.. all will interchange though.. same mounting everything..

common swap is putting the metal ones in a 87-96 cause they break so often..

new ones are about 8 bucks at any auto parts store in they're HELP! section..

Keep in mind though that if you broke your plastic handle due to the restricted cable issue, then you need to fix the cable, or else you can break the metal handle as well.

Also, the aftermarket handles are known to be of lesser quality than the factory ones, so try and find a set in the junkyard if you can.
