It is snowing here. Not deep or anything, but everything is covered. The explorer is running (warming up). I have a 50 mile drive each way to dialysis today.

It is supposed to ice later this afternoon. We will see.

Your info does not say where you are at. I am in North Central AR.

well since this thread is over....

i tried to pull out a bush the other day. couldn't get it done. bush held strong and my tires just spun. since it was more of a traction issue than strength, i tried to park it and use a come-a-long attached to the hitch to manually pull it out. it was pulling the truck backwards, toward the bush. i was shocked...bush held strong

Was this on ice or dry pavement?

dry pavement, truck was slightly uphill from the bush.

truck squatted as i ratcheted, but once it squatted enough, it just started coming backwards. i thought it was still squatting but my wife was standing next to it and said it was coming backwards slowly. sure enough, couple pumps later i could tell i was pulling the truck, not the bush. it was just a little evergreen about 4' high
