Idle sensor

Is there an idle sensor on the 7.3 Liter engine?
My truck sounds like a John Deer tractor when you step on the accelerator pedal just a little bit and then let off, it does this for about 3 to 5 seconds and then resumes a smooth idle. It almost sounds like it has a high performance cam in it for that 3 to 5 second time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Rob

No idle sensor, but the idle is set with a combination of sensors feeding information to the pcm, (icp, cmp,maf, and map). If I was to guess, I'd start with the icp sensor (front of driver side head).
