I Want To Drive Straight

Hey Guys The Title Says It All As Far As What I Am Looking To Accomplish Here Is The List Of Symptoms

1.) When Driving Truck Wanders All Over The Place On

2.) Puling Hard To The Right

3.) Hit A Bum And You Fighting To Control It

4.) Accelrate And It Jumps To The Right Then The Left

5.) Use The Breaks And I Pull To The Left Slightly

6.) Tires Are Wearing Extremely Bad On The Out Side Plus Some Weird Erratic Squiggly Line All The Way Around Like Its Trying To Push The Rubber In To The Center Of The Tire

7.)when Making Turns Turns Quick And Sharp To The Right But Half To Fight It To Turn Left

8.) Steering Wheel Has Massive Amounts Of Play

There Is The Problems And Here Are The Details Of The Truck

1973
Ford
F250
2wd
Standard Cab
Long Bed
Front 16.5 X 12 Rim With A 33x12.50x16.5 (will Be Replaced Soon 16x9 Rim And Stock Tire Size Once Fixed)
Rear 16.5 X 12 Rim With A 35x12.50x16.5 (will Be Replaced Soon 16x9 Rim And Stock Tire Size Once Fixed)

Now This Is Not My First F250 Form This Body Style I Had A 76 That Had The Play In The Wheel But None Of The Other Symptoms And That Truck Would Handle Like A Wet Dream I Have Driven Many Sports Cars And It Honestly Handle Better In The Corners Then Most Of Them So I Know That When The Twin I Beam Is Right Its Right

Thanks For Your Time Any And All Suggestions Will Be Much Appriciated

1.) When Driving Truck Wanders All Over The Place On
loose parts
incorrect alignment

2.) Puling Hard To The Right
incorrect alignment
bad tire
dragging brake caliper

3.) Hit A Bum And You Fighting To Control It
you shouldn't run over bums, they are people too
loose parts
incorrect alignment

4.) Accelrate And It Jumps To The Right Then The Left
loose parts
incorrect alignment

5.) Use The Breaks And I Pull To The Left Slightly
left break has more stopping power than right

6.) Tires Are Wearing Extremely Bad On The Out Side Plus Some Weird Erratic Squiggly Line All The Way Around Like Its Trying To Push The Rubber In To The Center Of The Tire
too much positive camber and too much positive toe-in can cause this.

7.)when Making Turns Turns Quick And Sharp To The Right But Half To Fight It To Turn Left
caster angle can affect steering effort
power steering/steering gear problems

8.) Steering Wheel Has Massive Amounts Of Play
again, loose parts, including rag joint and steering gear, tie rod ends

i bet your king pins are froze & this will cause all kinds of issues,it puts alot of stress on the steering components along with excessive tire wear.

Mom pretty much covered it. :)

My bet is on it not tracking straight, don't know if it's bad radius arm
bushings or the frame is diamond or someone swapped the leaf packs
side to side or they up and replaced 'em without carefully measuring
'em first.

You can make it track straight if you want it to bad enough.

Use the frame's shipping pins as bench marks...

Toe-in is easy to adjust and with my method you can experiment a
little and find what you like best, I like zero to 1/32" toe-in, YMMV...

What's your ride height?
(Ford calls it that)

...mine's 4+1/4". (Ford sez: frame to top of eye beam).
