:headbang: sorry about the inconvinience....but my shitty aod trannie is actin retarted..... if i take off in overdrive it runs normal until i hit 45mph. after that i cant accelerate ..when i push the gass i just wind up my rpms...(like u would in neutral) but if i take off in drive it runs fine but my cruising rpms r jut a little higher if im over 50( like 2200 0r 2300) im thinking that my overdrive is just shot. or could it be stuck? what should i do?

I'd swap fluid and filter first...then dig into possible TV cable adjustments.

The AOD is a bastard child, and I can't stand them...I've had 3 of them rebuilt by 3 different shops, and never got one over 60,000 miles before it was garbage again. I'd try swapping something else in at all costs. If it were me, I'd try finding a C6 that was behind a 351 in a Bronco.

The fmx is a big block tranny with a small block bolt pattern. However, be careful that it's actually a FMX...alot of the older SB trannies are incorrectly called a FMX. Although it sounds like it's on the right track since it has a cast iron case and aluminum bell.

I'd go with the C6 personally. But be sure it has the SB bolt pattern.

First off...that's a cheeeeeeeeeeap rebuild...I've never seen an AOD rebuild cost less than $1000. And the 50k warranty is extreeeeeemely safe for the shop...cuz as I said before, mine usually crapped out right around 60k.
