help please

I have an 85 f150 with the 5.0 Efi. My problem is, that it doesn't start. It trys, but doesn't. I think its a little out of time. But, it won't stay in time it seems. Put it at tdc, no 1 is up, and rotor points to one on the cap. But will not run.

Welcome to FTF!! Ok lets start with the basics..you need to determine the following

1) Air, no clogged air filter or restrictions in the duct work

2) are you getting fuel. hook up a guage to the schrader valve on the fuel rail,pressure should be in the 40-45 psi limit,with the key on

3) check for spark

4) Combustion conduct a compression test post the findings
