hello Primetime

I bought a HEI distributor and a set of accel wires and it should be alright and I appreciate all the info you gave me but I think it may have been bad when I took it out of the 1987 and I took all the smog stuff off and I am sure that did not help, I have never seen so much wire and vacuam lines as the 87 had and all the lines were broken or cracked. I still do not know why the driveshaft was too long but Dan`s driveline cut 2 1\4 off and balanced it and it fit perfect. The T18 four speed had a long tail shaft and it should have fit. thanks again for all the help

Sorry I couldn`t get you going. I bought a Ford style HEI for the 5.0 that`s going into my mud buggy from www.skipwhiteperformance.com. Mainly because it`s less stuff to waterproof.

When I converted my first 69 Cougar to Duraspark, everything came from a 87 F-150.

And I`m surprised that your driveshaft was as close as it was, considering the wheelbase difference.
