1981 bronco FS. Im getting a grinding noise in between coast and power coming from the trans/transfercase area. I have a 4 spd manual and a np203. I was talking to a guy about it and he said it was a bearing inbetween the tranny/tcase that will cause this and it is common. There is no noise on power or with lots of backpressure coasting. It it only with very mild load or fre wheeling that the grinding noise occurs. Does anyone know what the bearing is called and how to fix.
