I've got a 2005 E-350 V10 w/ Torqshift. We just returned from a cross country trip, towing our boat from SC to:
Lake Powell
Anacortes WA (San Juans)
San Francisco
Long Beach/LA (Catalina)
San Diego
Lake Havasu

7,900 road miles
900 water miles
Mean price of gas = $3.87/gallon
MPG van = 11.8
MPG boat = 5.1

I've gotta tell you this van is the cat's pajamas...couldn't be happier.
