Well,I finally got a new taillight harness for the truck.I managed to find an unmolested one off of an 82 with everything original on it.It still had the factory Ford stickers on it.lol.The lady only charged me 5 bucks for it.I love my junkyards.lol.I checked the wiring when I got home,and all the colors match up to the Haynes manual,and the wires on the new harness match up to the connector by the fuel tank.So i'm a happy man.I plugged it in,and unfortunately,only the license plate lights and driver's side reverse light work.BUT,I think I know why the others don't work.On the passenger side reverse light socket,it's getting power,but the little metal strip that the bulb rests against is rusted and broken,so I think a new socket will fix that.As far as the brake lights go,I think my brake switch on the brake pedal is bad,so once I replace that,all my lights should work.I wanted to take pics at the yard cause there was a really nice pristine 7th gen F150 out there that had perfect chrome on it,but the sand of the junkyard and the sun make the weather 20 degrees hotter,so I decided to just pay for the harness and go home.I did however snap a pic of an 85 F150 Explorer that looks alot like one of my buddy's old trucks.I'll post it later.
