Gas tank to filler pipe hose update...

Just spoke with Carquest in Olive Branch and they cut me a 6" length of Gates 23930 for a little over $14 with tax. Saved $6 from ordering through DC, since I don't have to pay shipping. This will give me a chance to check out their store. It is in "Old Town" Olive Branch. Have seen it quite a few times, and always wanted to go in.

Sorry for all the wasted thread space I have devoted to this. Quite honestly I didn't think it would be this difficult. Should have just ordered from DC to start off with and saved the time on researching...

Sorry man, May end up getting it cheaper... I looked at the hose in my truck and it is more like 4-5 inches long... Have a good evening...

No, called Carquest and they could get a 3 foot section in and sell it to me by the inch instead of by the foot...

Cough cough...we all told you to just order through DC. So while it may only be $14 and you're saving shipping costs, your time searching costs something as does the gas on any trips you took searching. To me, the extra $6 would have been worth it.


BTW...I've never known a parts store to charge by the inch for hose...typically by the foot or half foot. So check to make sure...you might be able to get a foot of the hose for same price as 4-5".
