I'm trying to find a source for the 7/16 - 14 bolts for the axle flange to hub on a 72 F250.
I read the wrong torque specs and tried to torque them to 115 ft lbs. and stretched a couple. It's supposed to be 35 - 40 ft lbs.
The stock bolts are are grade 5 hex head cap screws with a lock washer, about 1 - 3/8 long with a un-threaded shoulder. I would think that the shoulder is necessary to keep the axle from shifting, but I can't find bolts shorter than about 1 3/4 that have a shoulder.
Just in case I'm not clear about what I'm looking for: The 8 bolts holding the axle to the hub in the picture below.
