Fuel pump

1990 Ford F150 fuel pump.

How much psi is suppose to be on the fuel rail?
I ordered a new pump and it would run at first. Then it started shunting off and I would have to turn the key of and on to prime it back then it would run about a mile and the same problem. I would have to re prime the pump with the key of and on then it would run a little longer. Now it wont even start up. I can spray gas back in the air intake and it will run. I bought a cheap pump on line for 40.00 I just got burned I say. I just ordered a new on from Auto Zone for 150.00 only has a one year replacement. I need to check the fuel rail psi. Just wondering how much psi it should have?

If its picking up a prime,it sounds like something is restricting it.
Maybe something clogged.May just needs cleaning..

I work on a lot of small engines,people bring me stuff,that wont run or
barely runs,an the only thing most of the time,is the carberators get
clogged up.

I have cleaned all the injectors. Replaced the fuel regulator and new fuel filter.
I am ordered a new fuel pump and will try it next.

Haynes manual says 35-45psi KOEO and 30-45psi KOER from fuel rail.
