front tow point on a stock F150

I have a 1993 F150 with the stock, flat chrome bumper. Is there a "clean" way to add a tow/recovery point to the front end?

I've hooked onto the frame before, but when the chain tightens it bends/breaks your mounts.

U can reinforce the frame and add a class 3 hitch to front . Hid it behind license plate.

Because of crumple zone u have to box them add croosmember and then run on back further on frame (Core support) and add another . I had problems just making something for front only .

I still wouldn't tow the truck with it far but as winch mount , Trailer ball hitch,or hook . The class3 type is nice as u can remove and put plate over it .

There r kits but I didn't think reinforced things enough .

any other thoughts? the hitch behind the plate seems like a good idea, just wondering if there's anything else out there.

If u just want hooks there was a company making premade hooks setup that did box frame or mount further back in . But I believe r out of business.

I have a Putnam class 4 hitch off of a Ford F-150 style vehicle it is made to fit the F-150, F-250 and several models of vans and trucks manufactured by Ford.
Item is in excellent condition and ready to use! 10,000 LB MGTW, 1,000 LB Tongue WT.

Really, if you were to buy a length of 2", quarter wall square tubing and a small piece of plate steel you can mount the tube to your front crossover, coming out just shy of the front bumper. The exposed end would then be drilled to accomodate the pin for a standard receiver ball mount. I had a set up like that to put trailers up on a car carrier.
