Finally !

after going over and over my 88 Lincoln and it running weird for over a year ,I finally figured out the problem.


Bad (worn out) spark plug wire to #1 cylinder.. I had the ECM throwing codes for all sorts of things.

Today I put the timing light on it again and got sporatic flashes.
Did a Continuity test on the wire and Voila !.....bad wire.

As smart as the ecm's are about telling problems, sometimes nothing beats some old fashioned troubleshooting.
