Finally cracked

The plastic cups in my arm rest finally cracked....bummer. But I do have a metal set that I'm going to paint to match. They won't be the brown of the door panel, but the brown metalic as the same as the truck. I have about half a can of paint left from when I painted my GT wheel. A little winter project. If I can find what I did with the metal ones...thats always the problem, putting something away and then not being able to remember where they were stored.

Metal door cups (along with plastic glove box liners) are one of the things I prefer over the original. Just remember to promote good adhesion with the paint or they'll wear and peel like no tomorrow.

Metal is the way to go, even if it isn't period-correct. I painted my metal cups with epoxy paint 3 years ago, and they have held up well.

I hear ya. The plastic ones suck. Lol. No one would know the difference anyway. Ive got some metal ones sittin around for when my plastic ones break. I think the metal ones were used 73-76?

I replaced mine with the metal ones too.
