FI 460 swap...

I've been getting the itch to drop a 460 in the Bronco. But I figure if I go 460, I may as well go fuel injected. That said, I dunno what would be needed to make it compatible. I figure one that was bolted to a C6 would make the swap easier as well. So if I went with a late 80's early 90's 460...what kind of electronic or computer issues will arise. Anyone have any good links that could assist in research???? Harness wiring and fuel delivery are the biggest issues I can think of right now. Fuel delivery should be easy enough, but I hate anything dealing with wiring.

i would do a stand alone system personally.
trying to swap everything over from a different year truck would be a major pain, as the computer is wired into everything...

Look at systems like megasquirt...
A EFI system will run you about 1k if memory serves me right... but it could be much more too...

The complete systems like MassFlo or Powerjection are around 2K or better when you are all in.

Thanks guys...just something I'm bouncing around in my head. The aftermarket system will porbably be the way to go. If my plans go accordingly, I think I'd be much happier with the turn key starting and capability to drive upside down...and not having to worry about being at a 30-40* angle.

I don't exactly remember how the Fords are, but the GMs of that era were easy to do. Take a donor righ with the computer and just strip all the wiring and put it in your truck. There really isn't much to it. In a day you could have everything off the donor rig... Don't know how the Fords were though...
