fan shroud

alright i recently got a super cooling radiator and my old shroud is too small is there any places other than dennis carpenter and JBG to get them. only reason is i dont want to pay $120 for a shroud that is going to be seeing mud every weekend. thanks

The fan shrouds are pretty expensive regardless of where you go. So maybe you can get lucky at a JY or a classified or a fellow member. That being said, either cough up the cash or go without one...gasp. I know I know not running one is a sin, but since I threw my SC rad in the Bronco, I've had absolutely ZERO issues with no shroud. And that's just about any kind of driving you can think of in 90+* heat for extended amounts of time. Although I did go with a new water pump too...so maybe that helped.

I made one for the 79 I had. I used heavy rubber mud flap material and parts of my old fan shroud. It looked Ok and the extra flap on the bottom kept mud and junk off the engine.

yea i drove it around some today and it seemed to do pretty good although my temp guage doesnt work goot at all so i may run to the zone tomorrow and get a sunpro one to get a more accurate reading

Yes I do ,It came off a 75 F250

What do you have ?
