Fan doesnt work except on "4"

Apparently the a/c fan resistor is still an issue with the F series. I just wasnt expecting it go so soon.
A back story- Last thread I posted here was the first day we brought the 2012 home. At that point it was going to be my wifes truck and I was taking her 2005 F150. A few weeks later, the 2005 was traded on a Fusion that Stephanie saw when we bought the blue 2012. So for $10 more on the installment she now has a 2012 Fusion to tear the roads of south Louisiana up with.

Anyway, yeah, last week lost all fan speeds except hi, brought to the dealer for first oil change and to get that checked out. Turns out it was the same problem that plagues the 04-08 trucks too. All good and taken care of now though. I just wanted to post this so it will be searchable to anyone who may have the same problem.

Thanks for the post. I had the resistor go out on my 2005 as well. It was removable from behind the glove box on my pickup, if memory serves.

The resistor in the 2005 we had was as good as new when we traded it. I remember reading about the issues and taking the glove box down to identify it in case it did fail. I noticed low speed going out on my 2012 and 3 days later I was down to only the high setting. I didnt think they failed that soon, but oh well.
I took the glove box down on the 2012 to identify it as I couldnt find much information on google, and sure enough almost in the exact same place sits a faulty resistor.
