Extra fuel filter ?

Looking at gallery photos and noticed that some of you have put on a extra fuel filter for the carbed 351W. Did you do that since the tanks are old and you're taking a extra precaution ? Is the factory filter letting debris pass by. I just installed a new carb, so I don't want any issues. Thanks

Why not? It doesn't hurt anything' and "most" of them are clear so its easier to know when to change it out..

Im just gunna guess but i think because you can see through them and you can tell how much junk is in there, also, the inline filters are typically dirt cheap ( i dont know how much the one for the carb is)

and the easy in which you can change the inline filter is pretty big too. (again not sure for the one that screws into the carb....)

I like that you can see the fuel condition, so I will add the extra filter for peace of mind. I assume that Ford felt the in-line filter was sufficient. Thanks :wavey:
