0388 - 2007, 2008 Expedition/navigator -- Eatc Blower Intermittently Inoperative, Stuck On High Or Off
Some 2007-2008 Expedition/navigator Vehicles Equipped With Eatc, May Exhibit Blower Motor Inoperative Condition No Matter What Speed/temp Setting Or The Blower Motor Is Stuck On High Speed Or Off. Cycling The Ignition Key Off Then On, May Resume Operation. If Normal Blower Motor Operation Resumes, Replace The Heater Blower Control Module (hbcm) With Updated Service Part #7c3z-19e624-c And Add A Separate Ground (gd138) From The Hbcm Connector (c297). Cut Gd138 Wire Approximately 8 Inches From C297 And Add 12" Of 10 Gage Wire (awg), Using Ford Approved Splicing Methods. Attach To G200. Engineering Is Investigating The Release Of A New Ground Eyelet Pigtail Kit To Be Available In The 1st Qtr 2008. Monitor Oasis For Updated Parts/procedures.
