Hello and good morning!

I have a 87 F150 5.0L E4OD XLT Lariat 2WD Standard Cab.

I just purchased some pacesetter shorty headers and I am going to run 2.5" tubing from the collectors into a Y-Pipe merging into a 2.5" Hi-Flow Cat without an air tube into a 12" Enco Glass Pack terminating at just below the right rear bumper with a Stainless Steel tip. The system will be 2.5" from the collectors to tailpiece.

How does this sound? I have been advised not to install 3" as it will reduce my torque.

P.S. The engine is stock except that I installed a 4.9L complete Air Filter Box for more fresh air flow.

it'll sound great with that set up

The 5.0s always sound good with some headers and a high flow cat. It wont be overly loud either. To add your truck to the bottom, you have to go to user cp then signature i believe.
