Engine swap 52 to 48

Last month I pulled the worn flathead out of the 48 and stole the one from my 52 F2. Both are now back together.

I'll post some pics showing how the two years vary.
First remove unnecessary sheet metal:

nose to nose

1948-51 motor mounts

3 spd Heavy Duty T87D transmission - much larger case than the LD 3 spd. Uses the same transmission mount and saddle in a shallow dip crossmember.

Nothing beats 6 inline jugs with turbo for moving large amounts of metal in a hurry!
