Emission removal on 96 F350.

I am in the middle of putting my headers on and I need some help with this. I had to cut the tubes that were connected to the manifolds. I could get them to break free. But I need to know what all can be removed from this trucks A.I.R./Smog System.

I know the two pipes I just cut run up to the top of the motor int a valve looking thing that then goes to one of the Valve covers. All i seem to be doing is just right now.

I need to asap if i can take it all off or if i have to keep it and just block off some stuff.

Pictures help me out more than just words.

My question is: what part did you actually break trying to get the manifolds off? Just the metal EGR tube?

I broke the meta; tube that is hooked up to the manifolds on the back of the block. (This is not the one that bolts to the head and is not the one that is on the PS up at the front of the engine.)
