Can I remove the EGR valve on the truck and be ok or no? I think they make a non EGR 5.4 for my year but IDK if I could or not.

Why do you want to remove the EGR valve? Generally, without custom chip programming the answer is no, but I'm not as familiar with your generation of truck either.

Andy is right, with the dpfe sensor and o2 sensors, the egr valve strategy is too deeply ingrained in the fuel/air calculations. Might wait on some aftermarket programming.

Yeah, just cap it off if you have programming to delete it.
