Duel fuel tanks, reading 1/4 when shut off

Hi folks, My fuel tank guage for both tanks, my lumbar adjustments on both seats, the power door locks and the power window on the passenger side all quit at the same time. When I unplug the connectors at the fuel tank the guage goes to full.

Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated

My truck is a 1993 flareside extended cab 4x4 351cid

well. the fuel level works on a resistor system. When the take is full there is less resistance that if it where empty.

Think of a volume controll knob on a stereo. when you turn down the volume your adding more resistance to electricity flowing to the speakers, thus the volume is lower, but if you turn up the volume less resistance.

works the same way, when you unplug your fuel switch the fuel guage read has no resistance going to it, and pegs out full. i will actually go way past full.

Mine always reads roughly a quarter tank with the truck off.

What id say to is, on eveything else.
check the fuses, check connections, If that doesnt work, they probably all use the same common power wire. So grab a multir meter (or voltmeter/ohm meter) check for a power wire on all of them, make sure one post is getting power, If you cant find one. unhook your batter, wait a couple mins, Then ohm it from a post on the connector to the fuse location, (check both blade ends)

If it reads OL...its a break or a shrot.
