Drove my BII yesterday

I had to pull it out of the garage to make room to build some cabinets and counter tops. It's been a while since I've driven it. Seems small for my size after owning it for 17 years. Or it may be I'm not as flexible as I once was. I might have to get serious about selling it.:headbang:

Greetings gentleman, had a brainstorm earlier today, after I spied a BII that's been sitting in a nearby alley, for awhile. Gonna contact the owner and see if I can cheaply take it off their hands... Anything in particular I should look for? Body looks ok, need to peak in the windows, it's 4wd, and I've been wanting a smallish AWD SUV, hopefully they get ok fuel mileage, but if the price is right... I'll keep ya'll posted

The pan inside the air intake in the cowl are notorious for rusting and leaking and causing more rust inside floor board. The drain gets clogged with debris. I had a post on this subject , I'll try to find it.

thanks for the heads up, went and looked at it today, kind of a basket case inside, pretty massive engine oil leak, and the cowl is full (literally) of pine needles... still gotta get in contact with the owner and see what he has in mind.

yeah, that's what I'm realizing, cool little trucks but this one is a can of worms. And I remember 'em back in the '80's when I was a youngin', they had some issues even when new. Sounds like they guy wants $500 hundred for it, but I'd bet it would cost me 3 times that the first year to keep her on the road, oh, and it's an '85 with the carb, no thanks.

I get 20 city and 24 highway, with a heavy foot. So theres room for improvement.
I had a guy offer me 5k for mine and was going to let it go but he found a chevy he liked for less $.

I loved mine. Father-in-law scared my wife out of driving it saying they were tippy. So he gave us a big ole pile of shat olds that ended up popping the motor. Wish I would have kept on fixing the Bronco up instead of chopping off the back roof and turning it into a bush rod.
