Like I posted before; always been a GM guy and I'm on my first ford project [and loving it]. Not to sound like a dumba$$. But why are the 6th gen trucks called Dentside's? thanks

The older trucks, if you notice, have a body shape down the sides that protrudes outward (a bump) yours, in the same area, is somewhat like a trench down the side (a dent). So, bumpsides, and dentsides.

You're off to a better start than I was...when I first started really getting into these trucks, I thought it was primarily because these trucks were worked hard and commonly had dents (gen 6) or bumps (gen 5) all up and down the body. I thought it was a term of endearment like 'rust bucket'. But as Vince said, it's due to the body lines, 73-79 have a 'dent' down the side, and 67-72 have a 'bump' down the side.

Slicks. We used to call them slab-sides before the internet unified terms

Bumpside and dentside are also internet terms. We never called them that back when............and I bought a '77 F100 new.....

I prefer "innie" and "outie" myself but then its easy to confuse them with the bellybutton trucks.

literally there is really no bumps/dents accents...nothing really...square everywhere :/
