Hello all,
I’m hunting a drivers side cab leak in my ‘93 F-150 and as part of that I pulled the cowl drain duckbills on both sides and cleaned them out. Probably for the first time in 30 years. The drivers side was packed solid, so I feel like I accomplished something, lol. My question is: is it worth re-installing the duckbills? It seems like leaving them open would prevent them backing up again; is a squirrel in the cowl a realistic enough threat to make it worth the risk of water intrusion? What do ya’ll do? For the record I did not remove the fender or liner to do this, just used the power of curse words.
Thanks for any input!
