couple problems with 93 f250

just picked up a 1993 reg cab f250 with the 351w in it, 5 speed and ttb. pretty decent body for my area, and shes only got a hundred thousand on her. few issues need resolving, such as, shes got a good exhaust leak, which i presume is the manifolds, like every other ford? also, the clutch doesn't want to hold a bleed, fer a few hours you just wouldnt have a pedal, i bled it a few times, now i have enough to drive it but the pedal sinks easily half way to the floor and i get a very very slight grind with a few gears. should i try pressure bleeding it or just replace the slave cylinder? they tranny has a very little whine, probably the syncros? lastely, this is the first fullsize ive owned, and the first solid axle/ ttb ive ever toyed with, the drivers side u joint on the front axle is quickly going, how to i replace them? greatly appreciate it.

"Hands on" when its cold, then start it, is the best way generally to find an exhaust leak.

also, the clutch doesn't want to hold a bleed, fer a few hours you just wouldnt have a pedal, i bled it a few times, now i have enough to drive it but the pedal sinks easily half way to the floor and i get a very very slight grind with a few gears. should i try pressure bleeding it or just replace the slave cylinder?
If you've bled it correctly, slave/master cylinder, or lines are all thats left.
they tranny has a very little whine, probably the syncros?
verify the correct level, and type of fluid is in the trans before condemning the synchronizers. Is the whine in all gears, or does it quit in third or fourth?
